Lycan is the word used to broadly describe any creature in Bloodlines that has the ability to transform shape, and which suffers the Lycan Curse.
Each night 2.5 Lumens of moonlight are stolen from the Bloodlines Lycans. If they ever reach zero, they are destroyed. As a result, the lycans are doomed to hunt and attack humans in order to survive.
